Susan is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) in TN and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She specializes in treating individuals with anxiety, complex trauma, and managing stress and relationship issues. She earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the Townsend Institute, where she studied the Competence & Character Growth Model, integrating the latest in neuroscience and evidence-based therapeutic interventions with a foundation of Christian faith and Biblical principles.
Susan has a wide range of experience in the mental health field, completing her practicum and internship at Peninsula Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic. Prior to private practice, she worked as a Level 3 Clinical therapist for youth placed in therapeutic foster homes.
Susan is an EMDR-trained clinician (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) and has a certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
